We are thrilled to share some incredible news from our very first science fair season! Patsy Sommer Elementary promoted 7 projects to the Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair (GARSEF) through the ESFI program — and the students absolutely rocked it.
This milestone represents months of hard work, curiosity, and dedication from both the students and our volunteer mentors. Watching elementary-aged scientists take the stage at a regional fair is exactly why we started this initiative, and the results speak for themselves.

Seven projects advanced out of the school fair, and all seven earned ribbons at regionals. That's an extraordinary achievement for any group of students — let alone a group of elementary schoolers participating in their very first science fair experience.
